What is the Renaissance Society?
The Renaissance Society consists of the Renaissance Foundation, which serves to finance the projects of the Renaissance Society association. It raises funds to ensure sustainable project financing.
The Renaissance Society association aims to promote, support, and implement initiatives in art, culture, science, and education. The association promotes networking, exchange, and further education among artists and cultural professionals. The aim is to make a wide-ranging contribution to contemporary humanism and cultural renewal. A funding network is being established to ensure long-term and sustainable funding opportunities in the aforementioned areas.
Where does the name come from?
In Florence during the Medici era, artists and thinkers found not only patrons, but also people who shared their ideas and understood their work as part of a bigger plan.
The Renaissance Society continues this tradition. Its goal is to bring artists and patrons together to create projects that bring Christian ideas into public discourse and connect cultural creators.
